Anti virus company fixes dangerous software flaw
A flaw that was present on an older version of McAfee anti virus software has now been fixed. The flaw would have allowed hackers to compromise a vulnerable system.
This bug would actually allow hackers to launch malicious coding which would send victims of the attack to malicious websites where they could easily be infected with spyware, viruses and adware.
The flaw affects all versions of McAfee SecurityCenter from version 4.3 to 6.0.22. This means that there is a very big portion of McAfee's products that have been affected by the bug. Some of the products are McAfee Privacy Service, McAfee SpamKiller, McAfee AntiSpyware, McAfee Internet Security Suite 2006, McAfee Wireless Home Network Security, McAfee VirusScan and McAfee Personal Firewall Plus.
In an advisory, McAfee has advised all users of the SecurityCenter product to update their software. Read the original article here
